Deb of Linens Lace and Lattes

Someday all of the vintage linens and lace will be gone...
Atleast that is what I tell my husband everytime I fill my car with boxes of linens and sewing notions from estate auctions. His response is "No - they won't be gone...they will all be in our basement"
I seldom pass up any that I find, even the worn, tattered and stained. I find that when families prepare for estate auctions they many times pile the items in boxes, not realizing the beauty of the work which went into creating this work. I can't keep them all so take a tremendous amount of satisfaction in getting these beautiful items to others who will love and cherish them.

And then there are sewing notions. Ohh.. don't get me started on how excited I get when I buy a vintage sewing basket and sort through all of the items. I save every pin, button and snap I can get my hands on. My vacumn sweeper clangs frequently from the sound of a button left on my carpet from a 'color sorting' session!

So that is my story...rescuing vintage linens, lace and sewing notions ~ keeping some and sending the rest to others near and far who will love and cherish them as much as I do.
I would love to connect with others who have this crazy passion for vintage linens and lace. If you blog about vintage textiles, I would love to pour a latte and talk linens and lace!
